My name is Lorna and I'm the Den Mother here at LXTWO. I fell in love with
this breed when I was adopted by a little (perhaps not so little....she weighed
18 pounds) Papillon-cross. Black Girl was with me for more than 15 years when
she finally lost her battle with leukemia. I couldn't even think of getting
another dog for about a year. Then I located a 2 year old black and white female
named Lucy. The breeder was selling her because she didn't like the show ring. I
was looking for a pet so I didn't have any interest in the show ring either! The
breeder asked me if I wanted a breeding contract and I figured I'd give it a
try. Lucy and I took a year to get to know one another before I bred her. Then
in September of 1999 she presented me with her first litter, of three puppies.
Lulu was less than 2 ounces when she was born, and a friend who was here to
help out with the whelping (yes I was mighty nervous about the whole business)
said there's your pick of the litter she's a lulu...and so she was and is! All
of a sudden I had a dog who loved the show ring....she literally showed herself
and was soon a Canadian Champion in spite of the fact that I was on the
other end of the lead! And that was the start of LXTWO Papillons (where we all
have 2 L's in out names).
Although my main purpose in breeding is to produce wonderful dogs to show, I
occasionally have puppies, older dogs, or more show potential dogs than I can
show myself, available to approved homes. When you
